New Delhi, Oct 9 (PTI)—A tragic incident unfolded in east Delhi’s Dilshad Garden area where a 24-year-old salesman was fatally stabbed, allegedly by robbers, according to police reports on Thursday. The incident came to light after staff at GTB Hospital reported the stabbing to Seemapuri Police Station.

Viresh, a local resident, suffered stab wounds to the neck, abdomen, and chest, and was admitted to the hospital, police disclosed. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries, leading authorities to file a murder case. Preliminary investigations indicate that Viresh was in Deer Park, Dilshad Garden with a female companion at the time of the attack.

According to the officer, "Bhawana, present at the scene, informed police that they were victims of robbery. The investigation is exploring various angles, such as robbery and personal enmity."

Law enforcement has surveyed the crime scene and collected CCTV footage from nearby locations. Viresh resided with his family in Pocket E of Dilshad Garden, and following the post-mortem examination, his body was returned to his family.
