Devotees Contribute Generously to Tirupati's Sri Venkateswara Temple

Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, August 13 (PTI) A generous devotee from Bengaluru contributed Rs 1 crore to the Sri Venkateswara Anna Prasadam Trust while another devotee made a donation of a golden Lakshmi pendant adorned with diamonds and Vyjayanthi stones to Lord Venkateswara on Wednesday. The temple authorities shared this development.

The Rs 1 crore donation by Kalyan Raman Krishnamurthy will bolster the trust’s initiative to provide free meals for devotees visiting the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara. The devotee presented the demand draft to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) additional executive officer, Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, at the Additional EO’s camp office in Tirumala.

Moreover, another devotee, KM Srinivasa Murthy, contributed a 148-gram pendant estimated to be worth around Rs 25 lakh. This exquisite ornament is intended for the adornment of the idol of Sri Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy.

The golden Lakshmi pendant embellished with diamonds and Vyjayanthi stones was handed over to Venkaiah Chowdary at the Ranganayakula Mandapam within the Srivari temple.

TTD is the designated custodian of the Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati, recognized as the wealthiest Hindu shrine worldwide.
