Bharatiya Janata Party has responded to DMK's Udhayanidhi Stalin for slamming a group of cricket fans for shouting Jai Shree Ram multiple times when Pakistan cricketer Rizwan was walking back to the pavilion after being dismissed by pacer Jasprit Bumrah.

Hitting out at Stalin, BJP's Gaurav Bhatia called the DMK leader a mosquito that has come out to spread the poison.

Bhatia wrote on X, "The hateful dengue malaria mosquito has come out again to spread poison. When a match is stopped and namaz is offered on the field, you smell a snake. Our Lord Shri Ram resides in every corner of the universe, so say Jai Shri Ram."

The latest flashpoint between BJP and the DMK leader came after Udhayanidhi Stalin posted a video with a comment that such crowd behaviour is "unacceptable".
