New Delhi, May 30 (PTI) - In a stern message to Pakistan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh declared that the "dangerous game" of terrorism that Pakistan has engaged in since its Independence against India is now over. Speaking aboard the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant off the coast of Goa, Singh warned Islamabad that India would not hesitate to employ strategies to counter terrorism, including those beyond Pakistan's imagination.
The Defence Minister referred to Operation Sindoor as not just a military operation but a direct assault on terrorism by India. "We will utilize every method against terrorism that Pakistan can conceive of, and even those beyond their contemplation," he asserted. Singh urged Pakistan to dismantle the "nurseries of terrorism" operating within its borders.
He emphasized that anti-India activities openly conducted from Pakistani soil would no longer be tolerated. "India reserves the right to undertake any operations against terrorists, on this side or beyond the border and sea," he declared. Singh emphasized the global recognition of India's right to protect its citizens from terrorism. "Today, no power in the world can deter India from undertaking this mission," he added.
Rajnath Singh commended the Indian Navy for its vital role during Operation Sindoor. "The Indian Navy has impressed every Indian with its silent service," he noted. By maintaining a strategic silence, the Indian Navy successfully restrained the Pakistani army, he commented. While the Indian Air Force targeted terror infrastructures within Pakistan, the Navy's robust deployment in the Arabian Sea confined the Pakistani Navy to its shores, he pointed out.
The Defence Minister highlighted the overall success of the operation, saying "our strike was so powerful that Pakistan pleaded with the world to stop India." In a remarkably short period, he claimed, India dismantled Pakistan's terror infrastructure and intentions. The speed, decisiveness, and clarity exhibited by the armed forces were commendable, he remarked.
Operation Sindoor delivered a strong warning not only to terrorists but also to their supporters, Singh said. "On our terms, we decided when to halt our military actions," concluded the Defence Minister.
