Rajasthan to Brace for Storms and Rain with Upcoming Weather Shift

Jaipur, Jun 2 - Several regions of Rajasthan experienced light to moderate rainfall within the past 24 hours, according to the Meteorological Centre here.

From Monday onwards, a new western disturbance will become active in the state, the weather office forecasted.

Khushalgarh in Banswara noted the highest rainfall, measuring 37 mm. Meanwhile, in terms of temperature, Sriganganagar recorded the state's highest maximum at 41.9 degrees Celsius.

There is an expectation of increased storm and rain activities due to the activation of this new western disturbance starting Monday.

From June 2nd to the 5th, regions such as Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, and Udaipur can anticipate strong thunderstorms with winds ranging from 50-60 kilometres per hour, accompanied by rain.

Meanwhile, the maximum temperature is expected to stay below 45 degrees Celsius over the next four to five days.
