Jaipur, June 23 (PTI): The Meteorological Department has forecast significant rainfall across Rajasthan on Monday as the southwest monsoon remains active over the region.
Since this morning, intermittent showers have been reported in various locations such as Jaipur, Tonk, Sikar, Baran, Dausa, Jhalawar, Nagaur, and Kota.
An increase in heavy rainfall activity is anticipated in eastern parts of Rajasthan from June 23-24, according to the Meteorological Center in Jaipur.
A warning has been issued for heavy to very heavy rainfall affecting certain areas within the Kota, Bharatpur, and Jaipur divisions during this period.
Particularly, one or two locations in the Kota, Bharatpur, and Jaipur divisions might experience very heavy downpours on Monday.
Additionally, thunderstorm activities are expected to increase in some parts of the Bikaner division in western Rajasthan from June 25 to 27.
A new weather system forming over the Bay of Bengal is likely to enhance heavy rain activities in eastern Rajasthan once more starting June 27.
