Muzaffarpur, Bihar, Aug 27 (PTI) – In a vibrant display of political camaraderie and voter mobilization, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD's Tejashwi Yadav took to the streets of Bihar's Muzaffarpur district on motorcycles as part of the spirited 'Voter Adhikar Yatra'.

This high-profile ride witnessed senior Congress figure Priyanka Gandhi Vadra perched on the pillion seat of her brother's motorcycle.

As the convoy made its way from Darbhanga district to Muzaffarpur, throngs of people lined the streets, extending a warm welcome to the leaders. The yatra, which spans 1,300 kilometers, commenced on August 17 from Sasaram and is slated to culminate with a grand rally in Patna on September 1.

The political enthusiasm is expected to rise further as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin is set to join the yatra later today.

Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav had similarly ridden motorcycles in the Araria region of Purnea district on August 24, fortifying their campaign efforts.

Speaking at a rally in Darbhanga on Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi urged citizens to safeguard their voting rights to uphold the Constitution. He leveled accusations against the BJP, alleging that the special intensive revision of electoral rolls in Bihar highlighted improprieties attributed to the BJP and the Election Commission.

He went on to say, "People are referring to BJP leaders as 'vote chor' (vote thief)," as he accused them of engaging in "vote chori" (vote theft) with the purported help of the Election Commission. Gandhi emphasized, "It is imperative for people to protect their voting rights and, by extension, the Constitution."
