Vijoy Kumar Singh assumed charge of Special Chief Secretary to CM Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann on January 1st, 2024.

Following the retirement of A. Venu Prasad, the Punjab government had not filled this position.

Singh took charge in presence of senior officers of the state govt.

After taking the charge, he said that percolation of pro-people and development oriented policies of state government will be his top priority.

Singh, the most senior after Vini Mahajan, holds vast experience in various administrative roles spanning over 33 years.

Notably, he has worked with both serving and retired armed forces personnel, dealing with issues like One Rank One Pension (OROP).
