Vijoy Kumar Singh has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Punjab. Following the retirement of A. Venu Prasad, the Punjab government had not filled this position.
Singh, currently on central deputation since 2017 and the most senior after Vini Mahajan, holds vast experience in various administrative roles spanning over 33 years.
Notably, he has worked with both serving and retired armed forces personnel, dealing with issues like One Rank One Pension (OROP).
Prior to his central deputation, he served in the Ministry of Textiles as a Special Secretary and has held positions in the Defence Ministry and the Department of Personnel and Training.
