Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Tuesday directed the Punjab State Power Corporation (PSPCL) to make advance arrangements to meet summer challenges so that should not face any difficulty in ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the people of the state.
During a three-hour-long meeting with the PSPCL officials, the Power Minister asked the management to complete the tender process for the procurement of the required infrastructure and equipment as soon as possible to meet the possible increase in demand for electricity during upcoming summers.
He said that all the formalities in this regard should be completed on time so that PSPCL does not have to face any kind of problem in meeting the peak demand of power during summer.
Meanwhile, while reviewing various parameters related to the performance of PSPCL, Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO directed the concerned officials to speed up the delivery of services to the people besides making special efforts to reduce the losses.
He said that the settlement of average bill cases related to faulty meters should be ensured within one month.
