Jalandhar farmers are reeling from untimely rains that devastated their wheat crops, prompting demands for compensation from the central government.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Harsurinder Singh, a local farmer, expressed frustration, highlighting the widespread damage caused by hailstorms.

He emphasized the urgent need for compensation, citing the financial strain on farmers who struggle to repay loans amid crop losses.

According to Harsurinder, approximately 25-30 per cent of his crop suffered damage, reflecting the scale of the crisis.
