The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, remains dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Punjabi language.

Punjab's Finance Minister, S. Harpal Singh Cheema, reaffirmed this commitment during a meeting with members of the Kendri Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (Sekhon) at his office today.

Addressing the demands raised by the Writers’ Sabha, the Finance Minister assured that the government is taking effective steps to enforce the use of Punjabi. He instructed the Director of the Language Department to ensure strict implementation of the Language Act and take action against any violations by government departments or employees.
