The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has taken a significant step to address the concerns of Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Punjabis by launching a dedicated WhatsApp helpline at 9056009884.

This initiative allows NRIs to easily report their grievances and seek resolutions.

To ensure swift action, complaints received through this platform are forwarded to the relevant departments as well as the ADGP of the NRI Wing of Punjab Police for immediate redressal.

For additional resources, NRIs can visit nri.punjab.gov.in, which provides comprehensive information on the NRI Police Wing, State Commission for NRIs, and NRI Sabha.

Administrative Reforms and NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal highlighted that the department offers essential services, including countersigning and attestation of various documents. These include birth certificates, unavailability of birth certificates, late birth entries, police clearance, medical certificates, educational qualifications, driving certificates, death and marriage/divorce certificates, decrees, adoption deeds, affidavits, fingerprints, and other necessary documents for Punjabis residing abroad.

Additionally, NRIs can conveniently apply online through the E-Sanad portal to have their documents countersigned from the comfort of their homes.
