Punjab: former Congress MLA Angad Saini injured in road mishap

Former Congress MLA Angad Singh Saini sustained injuries when his SUV collided with an ambulance and then struck the road divider on the highway to Chandigarh near Taunsa village in Balachaur tehsil of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar on Tuesday.

The driver of the Toyota Fortuner, in which the former MLA was traveling to Chandigarh, collided with the ambulance before the vehicle hit the divider, causing all airbags to deploy.

Saini was initially taken to a local hospital and later referred to a private hospital in Mohali. Doctors reported that he suffered a hip dislocation but is currently in stable condition and out of danger.
