Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has declared December 28th as a state holiday to commemorate the martyrdom of the young Sahibzadas, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh.

All government offices, boards, corporations, educational and other state institutions will remain closed.

The announcement follows the CM's earlier decision to sound mourning bugles, which was later withdrawn due to opposition.
