Punjab budget: govt's special focus on health, education; no new taxes imposed

On Tuesday, Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema unveiled the budget proposals, totaling Rs 2,04,918 crore, marking the third budget presentation by the Aam Aadmi Party government in the state during the ongoing Punjab Assembly's budget session.

Notably, the state government refrained from introducing new taxes, aiming for total revenue receipts of Rs 1,03,936 crore in 2024-25.
