Punjab: Ajnala power station upgraded after 55 years in Amritsar

After 55 years, the Punjab government has reportedly responded to the demand of Ajnala residents by initiating the upgrade of the power station established in 1968.

According to a report, the power house, increasing from 66 KV to 220 KV, is anticipated to usher in a new era of development in the region.

Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO and Cabinet Minister S. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal commenced the upgrade, costing approximately Rs. 35 crore.
