85 Projects Set to Redefine Ludhiana’s Urban Landscape
A total of 85 infrastructure projects have been planned to enhance Ludhiana’s connectivity, environmental sustainability, and civic amenities. Out of these, 65 projects worth Rs. 712.86 crore have already been completed, marking significant progress in the city’s redevelopment.
Key completed projects include:
Railway Over Bridges (RoB) and Under Bridges (RuB) on Pakhowal Road for smoother traffic flow.
Waterfront Development along Sidhwan Canal, adding recreational spaces for residents.
Smart eClassrooms to modernize education infrastructure.
Transformation of Malhar Road into a Smart Road, improving pedestrian and vehicle mobility.
Installation of LED streetlights and solid waste compactors to enhance sustainability.
Development of green spaces and parks, contributing to a cleaner, healthier city.
Municipal Command & Control Centre, strengthening surveillance and urban security.
Ongoing Projects Worth Rs. 199.26 Crore in Execution
Currently, 17 major projects worth Rs. 199.26 crore are in progress, focusing on:
Water supply system upgrades to ensure efficient distribution.
Solid Waste Management expansion, including bio-remediation initiatives.
Enhanced sports infrastructure, including an all-weather swimming pool at Rakh Bagh.
Key road and bridge projects, improving connectivity and traffic management.
Upcoming Projects in Tendering Phase
Additionally, three new projects valued at Rs. 18.08 crore are in the tendering phase, including:
Upgradation of Nehru Rose Garden to enhance Ludhiana’s green spaces.
Procurement of advanced sewerage machinery to improve sanitation services.
Further park enhancements, promoting urban beautification and sustainability.
