Inderpal Singh 'Dhanna': CM's close aide appointed Punjab Chief Information Commissioner

Senior Advocate and Additional Advocate General Inderpal Singh 'Dhanna' has been appointed as the new Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) of Punjab, succeeding Suresh Arora.

The announcement was made by Punjab Communications Director Baltej Pannu on social media.

Dhanna, known to be close to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, takes on this crucial role after the retirement of the former Director General of Police.

Following this appointment, the position of Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) chairperson is expected to be filled, with former IPS Jatinder Aulakh among the frontrunners.
