Chandigarh has seen a surge in traffic challans this year than last year, as per the statistics shared by the city police.

The rise in number of challans is driven by new high-resolution smart cameras at 40 crucial points.

The city, renowned for strict traffic enforcement, has issued challans to over half of its 15 lakh residents in 2023.
