The capital of Punjab, Chandigarh, has witnessed a significant rise in pollution levels, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) crossing 380, placing the city in the red zone.

Experts attribute the increase in pollution primarily to the growing number of vehicles on the roads. Currently, visibility on the streets is severely hindered by a combination of fog and smog.
