Row over Chandigarh mayor polls refuses to die down as the Aam Aadmi party leaders staging day-long hunger strike in front of the Municipal Corporation Bhawan in Chandigarh against the BJP were detained by the police on Monday.

The leaders who began their sit-in protest were soon removed and stuffed in the police vehicle by security personnel.

A day earlier, the leaders vowed to stage protest until action is taken against Anil Masih, presiding officer who is allegedly rigged in Mayor election. Additionally, the leaders also demanded removal of Manoj Sonkar, BJP candidate who won the mayor election.
