The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Mann, continues to revolutionize the healthcare sector through the Aam Aadmi Clinics initiative. In just two years, these clinics have treated over 2 crore patients, reflecting the government's dedication to providing quality healthcare to the masses. This milestone was achieved through the operation of 842 clinics, spread across urban and rural areas, offering free medical consultations, medicines, and diagnostic tests.
Dr. Balbir Singh, Punjab’s Health and Family Welfare Minister, shared that 55% of the OPD visits were by women, marking a significant stride towards gender-inclusive healthcare. The clinics have also helped reduce out-of-pocket healthcare expenses by ₹1030 crore, making healthcare more accessible and affordable for the state's residents. The clinics, which serve over 58,000 patients daily, demonstrate Punjab's commitment to improving public health under CM Bhagwant Mann's visionary leadership.
Additionally, the clinics cater to all age groups, with significant representation from children, adults, and senior citizens, and are equipped with cutting-edge IT infrastructure, ensuring a fully digitized healthcare experience. This initiative marks a significant shift in Punjab's healthcare landscape, promoting trust, accessibility, and affordability across the state.
