The Punjab police launched a statewide crackdown on September 21 to nab accomplices of gangster Goldy Brar.
According to officials, the raids began at 7 a.m. and are expected to continue till 2 p.m.
Brar, who is an aide of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is an accused in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
He is suspected to be hiding in Canada and has alleged links with Khalistani extremists.
