Jewellery Store in Pune Targeted by Armed Robbers; CCPD Footage Under Review

Pune, Jul 1 (PTI) Unidentified men allegedly looted gold ornaments from a jewellery store in Pune and assaulted the store’s owner on Tuesday afternoon, according to local police.

The incident occurred around 1.30 pm in the Wadgaon Budruk area of the city.

An official reported that two armed men entered the shop while a third accomplice waited outside on a motorcycle.

Mangal Ghadge, the shop owner, recounted that the men wielded a sharp weapon and a pistol-like object, smashed the glass showcase, and fled with 58 grams of gold ornaments.

She further stated that the duo assaulted her when she tried to intervene.

"We have formed multiple teams and are reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the culprits," the official confirmed.
