Who is Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, next CM of Himachal Pradesh?

Himachal CM designate Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is a four-time MLA from Nadaun constituency in Hamirpur district. 
He contested his first Assembly election in 2003 from Nadaun, winning the seat in 2007 and 2017.
A lawyer by education Sukhu emerged through the ranks of the Congress student wing- NSUI and was elected president of its state unit in 1989. 
Known for his time-management skills and popularity, Sukhu was made State party president in 2013. 
A known detractor of party veteran Virbhadra Singh, Sukhu is considered close to Rahul Gandhi and was the Congress campaign committee head in this election.

He will take oath as the chief minister on December 11 and will be the seventh person to hold the CM's post in the hill state.
