Several NCP workers and senior leaders protested after Sharad Pawar announced his decision to quit as party president.
While party leaders Jayant Patil and Jitendra Awhad broke down after Pawar’s decision, Praful Patel beseeched him to withdraw his decision.
He said Pawar had not taken anyone into confidence before announcing his resignation.
According to ANI, some party workers even asked Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule to convince him to reconsider his decision.
