The Gujarat High Court judge who refused to suspend Rahul Gandhi's conviction in the Modi surname case features in a list of 9 judges whose transfer has been recommended by the Supreme Court collegium.
Justice Hemant M Prachchhak in July had dismissed Gandhi's plea for staying his conviction, stating that it was based on "absolutely non-existent grounds".
Weeks later, the order was overturned by the Supreme Court which paused Gandhi's conviction.
