In a bid to regain the Maharashtra chief minister's chair, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has reached out to Raj Thackeray, the cousin of the Uddhav Thackeray who rebelled and formed his own party.
Fadnavis asked Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief's help for the floor test in the Maharashtra Assembly that is scheduled for Thursday, according to news agency ANI.
Raj Thackeray, who has one MLA in the assembly, has reportedly agreed to support Fadnavis.

Maharashtra Governor has directed the Uddhav Thackeray-led govt to prove their majority in the floor of the House on Thursday.
The directions came after former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis met the Governor on Tuesday claiming that the Maha Vikas Aghadi has lost majority and should be asked to face a floor test
