The 2019 Pulwama terror attack has once again become a political flashpoint with the Bharatiya Janata Party accusing the Congress of "speaking against the nation", and "insulting the martyrdom of soldiers".

BJP leaders reacted on 13 March 2023 to a statement by Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab.

Randhawa had reportedly said that it is still not known how the jawans were martyred in Pulwama in February 2019. He also asked whether it was "done to fight elections", as per reports.
