Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Minister of State IT has reacted to the cash-for-query allegations against TMC MP Mahua Moitra calling it shocking and shameful.

The minister said the company (Hiranandani group) in question was "actively and aggressively lobbying for Data localization". He further added that the "language" used by Mahua Moitra while asking questions in the house was very similar to what the "company's head used" when he met the minister.

The minister also added that although he is not aware of the full facts or the background, but if it's true then is a "terrible travesty and misuse of PQs"

Notably, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey levelled serious allegations against Moitra accusing her of taking bribes to ask questions in the Parliament.
