A mouthpiece of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has reportedly warned the BJP that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "charisma" and Hindutva ideology may not be sufficient for the party to win elections.

The Organiser publication said that "strong leadership" and "effective delivery" is also needed at the regional level to win polls.

The comments were made in an analysis of the recent Karnataka election result, in which the Congress defeated the BJP.
