Rajya Sabha: AAP MP Sanjay Singh suspended; TMC MP Derek O'Brien warned for 'challenging the chair'

Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh was suspended from the Rajya Sabha on July 24. He was suspended for the remaining duration of the Parliament's Monsoon Session.

Leader of the House BJP MP Piyush Goyal moved the motion to suspend Sanjay Singh for alleged "unruly behaviour".

Earlier, TMC MP Derek O'Brien had engaged in an argument with Rajya Sabha chairman Jagdeep Dhankar.

The Chairman had warned O'Brien against "challenging the Chair" before adjourning the House for an hour.
