Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has issued a response to a letter from Congress leader Sonia Gandhi addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In his response, Joshi accused Sonia Gandhi of politicising the functioning of Parliament.

This development occurred shortly after Sonia Gandhi, the former Congress chief, penned a nine-point letter to Prime Minister Modi regarding the forthcoming special Parliament session.

In her letter, she called for discussions on nine specific issues, citing the government's failure to disclose the session's agenda.

Sonia Gandhi also voiced her concern that the government had not consulted with political parties on this matter. In his rebuttal, Minister Joshi asserted that the session had been convened in accordance with established procedures and that political parties were not typically consulted in advance for such sessions.
