NCP leader Jayant Patil has dismissed the reports surrounding a recent meeting between party chief Sharad Pawar and industrialist Gautam Adani saying, there should be no controversy over it as both have known each other for a long time.
He further said,"...All the discussions of the INDIA alliance are done by all the leaders where Sharad Pawar is also present... As far as the inauguration is concerned, Sharad Pawar knows him (Gautam Adani), and he invited him... It was the inauguration of a new investment... There is no need for objection to it... It was just one project where Sharad Pawar went and inaugurated it...Sharad Pawar has always supported the decisions taken in meetings of the INDIA alliance... There is no need to mix two things..."
Pertinently, Pawar and Adani shared the stage on Sept 23 at an event in Ahmedabad, following which BJP sharpened its attack on the opposition bloc, in which the NCP chief is a key member.
