A political war appears to be brewing in Bengal over the Odisha triple train crash which killed at least 278 people.

BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on June 5, 2023 alleged a conspiracy by the ruling Trinamool Congress behind the incident, as per news agency ANI.

Suvendu asked why TMC was afraid of a CBI probe, and why the party was "panicking" when the incident had taken place in another state. The BJP MLA also claimed that TMC leaders had tapped phones of railway officials.

He threatened to go to court if CBI does not probe this.
