NCP chief Sharad Pawar slammed Election Commission over its decision to recognise the Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction as the real Sena after the SC refused to stay EC's order on Wednesday.

Speaking at an event in Maharashtra's Pune, Pawar said, "Till now, many issues, complaints have been forwarded to EC, but never have I seen EC taking any decision of this sort, to take away control of political outfit and give to someone else".

The ECI on Feb 17, allocated the political outfit's symbol bow and arrow to the Shinde-bloc. The party was originally founded by Uddhav's father, Bala Saheb Thackeray in 1966.
