The Delhi Police on Sunday filed an FIR against Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra over her alleged crude remarks against National Commission of Women chief Rekha Sharma.

Moitra has been booked under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita for allegedly outraging modesty of a woman.

This comes after she commented on a video of the NCW chief arriving at the Hathras stampede site. Moitra wrote Sharma was busy holding up her boss’s pajamas. She later deleted the post.

Following this, NCW had sought an FIR against the Krishnanagar MP.
