Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter Rohini Acharya shared photos of herself and her father in a hospital on 5 December.
Rohini, who is donating her kidney to her father, wrote, "Ready to rock and roll. Wish me good luck" while sharing the photographs.
She is Lalu and Rabri Devi's second daughter.
The RJD chief, who was jailed in fodder scam cases, was allowed by courts in October to travel abroad for a kidney transplant.
Lalu Prasad Yadav is suffering from kidney-related ailment and is supposed to undergo transplant in Singapore.
