The Congress halted its Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir's Banihal after alleging a security lapse. Rahul Gandhi, who is leading the march, was taken away from the spot in a car.

Congress said the yatra has not been provided security to continue further. The leaders said that they will not resume the yatra until further security has been provided.

Senior leader KC Venugopal said even if Rahul Gandhi wants to continue they will not allow him to walk without proper security arrangements.
