Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kailash Vijayvargiya was taken for a surprise after his name featured in the second list of candidates for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh polls.
The saffron party included the name of its leader, who is also BJP's national general secretary will contest from Indore-1 seat.
Speaking at a gathering the senior BJP leader said, he had made up his mind not to contest any polls now. However, when he was informed by the party decision, it was in total disbelief.
" I had no desire to contest elections. There is a mind-set to contest polls. Never thought I would be asked to return to the public, ab bade neta ho gaye hain, public ke saamne hath jodna...", the 67-year-old said at the event.
Vijayvargiya has served as Indore mayor, held cabinet position in the Madhya Pradesh government apart from holding key positions within the party.
