Rajasthan Chief Minister, who sparked a controversy with his comments against the judiciary and alleged corruption in the system, has tendered an unconditional apology to the High Court.
The development comes after a bench of Chief Justice Masih and Justice Shrivastava directed the senior Congress leader and state CM to file an affidavit tendering apology.
Gehlot on August 30, alleged that there was rampant corruption in the judiciary.
Following this, advocate Shiv Charan Gupta filed a contempt plea against Gehlot and requested HC to take cognizance in the matter.
The HC sent Gehlot a notice to file his reply.
The case will now be heard on November 7, 2023.
