Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav on Friday sharply criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging that the party’s rise in the Bihar Assembly election trends is the result of manipulation through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.

He described the BJP as “a deceit” and labelled the SIR exercise as an “electoral conspiracy”.

Taking to X, Yadav wrote that what he described as the “game” played in Bihar would not be repeatable in other states.

…</p>&mdash; Akhilesh Yadav (@yadavakhilesh) <a href="https://twitter.com/yadavakhilesh/status/1989223443477536889?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 14, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

“The game that the Sir played in Bihar will no longer be possible in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh or anywhere else, because this electoral conspiracy has now been exposed. From now on, we will not let them play this game. Just like CCTV, our 'PPTV' -- meaning 'PDA Prahari' -- will stay alert and foil the BJP's intentions. The BJP is not a party, it is a deceit (BJP dal nahi chhal hai),” he posted.

Yadav’s remarks come as counting trends show the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) surging ahead with a strong and commanding lead in the 243-seat Bihar Assembly. Early numbers suggest that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar could be heading toward one of his most decisive electoral victories.

The renewed JD(U)-BJP alliance, coupled with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s national popularity, appears to be driving the NDA toward a sweeping mandate, according to the trends so far.
