The controversy surrounding the movie 'Adipurush' has snowballed into a bigger political row.

Congress and Aam Aadmi Party leaders have targeted the BJP over a comment made by 'Adipurush' dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir. He reportedly said that Hanuman is not a god, but people made him a god because his devotion was so powerful.

Reacting to this, Aam Aadmi Party's Sanjay Singh asked whether the BJP CMs who gave their blessing to 'Adipurush' agree with Muntashir, and will ban Hanuman Chalisa now.

Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said that the RSS considers Ram a "great man", but not an avatar of god, and Muntashir appears to be from the same school of thought.
