8-member committee formed to examine ‘One nation, One election’

Days after calling a special Parliament session from Sept 18-22, the government on Sept 2 issued notification on 'One Nation, One Election'. 

According to the notification, the government has formed an 8-member committee to examine ‘One nation, One election’.

Former President Ram Nath Kovind has been  appointed as Chairman of the committee.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Former Rajya Sabha LoP Ghulam Nabi Azad, and others have been appointed as the members of the committee.
