Police: 2 non-local workers shot at in J&K's Pulwama by militants

On a day the BJP announced two rallies by Home Minister Amit Shah in Jammu and Kashmir in October, 2 non-local labourers were shot at by militants in Pulwama district. 

The police said the two were shifted to hospital where their condition is stated to be stable.

They were identified as Shamshad and Faizan Qasri, residents of Bihar's Batya district, the police said.

According to reports, one of the labourers suffered a bullet injury in the neck and the other on the shoulder. 

Earlier in the day, the BJP announced that Home Minister Amit Shah will be holding rallies in Rajouri and Baramulla districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
