PM Modi speaks to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, condoles deaths in Gaza hospital attack

As the war between Israel and Hamas escalates, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday spoke to Palestinian President H.E. Mahmoud Abbas. 

The PM offered condolences over the deaths of civilians in the hospital attack in Gaza and reaffirmed that India will continue to send humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people. 

The Indian leader further said, both the leaders shared deep concern at the terrorism, violence and deteriorating security situation in the region.

He also reiterated India's long-standing principled position on the Israel-Palestine issue.
