PM Modi meets UK's Rishi Sunak; visits Hiroshima Peace Memorial in Japan

On the last day of his Japan trip, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his UK counterpart Rishi Sunak.

The two world leaders held a bilateral meeting on May 21, 2023 on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Hiroshima, Japan.

Earlier, PM Modi visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Park. It has been built in the memory of those who died in USA's nuclear attack on the city at the end of World War II.

PM Modi laid flowers at the memorial, and also signed the visitors' book. He also posed for a photograph with the other world leaders.
 
The G7 bloc comprises Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Canada and Italy as well as the European Union.
