PM Modi leads Yoga Day celebrations in Srinagar, delayed by early morning rain

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Jammu and Kashmir and is leading the 10th International Yoga Day celebrations at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre on the banks of Dal Lake. 

He urged everyone to make yoga a part of their daily lives as it fosters strength, good health and wellness. "The world is looking at Yoga as a power for global good," he added at the event in Srinagar. 

The event which was slated to begin at 6:30 am was delayed by early morning rainfall. Moderate to heavy rainfall has been reported from across the Valley, making it difficult to hold open-air yoga events, officials said.
