Since two men, in their 20s, breached the Parliament security and were able to release non-toxic yellow-coloured gas in the Lok Sabha on Decemeber 13, over 90 Opposition MPs from both houses have been suspended so far.

As the Winter Session resumed on Decemeber 18, the upper and the lower house witnessed pandemonium with Opposition MPs demanding answers about the unprecedented security breach that took place on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack.

A total of 33 members of Parliament from the Lok Sabha including Leader of Oppositon Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary were suspended as they demanded Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement in the House.

In Rajya Sabha, Vice President Dhankar suspended 47 Opposition MPs as they made similar demands. 11 among the suspended Rajya Sabha MPs were suspended till the Privilege Committee submitted a report on them for 'continuously shouting slogans and raising placards'. One Rajya Sabha and 14 Lok Sabha MPs were suspended on December 13.

PM Modi on Decemeber 17 had broken his silence and stated that those behind the intrusion must be exposed.
